New University of Wyoming business school dean Scott Beaulier is putting together a reunion of sorts to celebrate graduates of that institution's PhD program in economics, which is 50 years old this year. Among the 24 2000s graduates of that PhD program is the Turner College's Tesa Leonce, a professor of economics and the newly-appointed associate dean. Leonce, who also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in finance and business computer information systems from Midwestern State University, came to CSU in August of 2014 from a position on the economics faculty at Eastern Illinois University.
In recent years she has published a number of scholarly articles appearing in Empirical Economics, Tourism Economics, Healthcare and the International Journal of Healthcare Management, among others. Last spring, the UK-China Joint Intelligent Center of Special Equipment and Robotics named Leonce among the 1,000 most productive scholars in the field of intelligent manufacturing during 2021. Since 2001, she has served on the editorial board of Compensation and Benefits Review. In 2017, Leonce was awarded the Turner College's Faculty Service Award.
