Turner College AACSB Report Scheduled for Release on December 1st

The first draft of the Turner College's Continuous Improvement Report, will be submitted to the AACSB in mid-December of 2023, is set for release on December 1.  It covers the Turner College's teaching, research and service endeavors for the 5-year period beginning with 2019 and ending with 2023. Recent entries here at Turner Business have reported on the College's research and teaching efforts since the last re-accreditation effort in 2019.
     As we await release of the report, Turner Business is, via the table below, providing comprehensive look at the Turner College research portfolio for 2019-2023.  Listed in the table below are the academic journals publishing articles by Turner College faculty for 2019-2023 by journal quality and publishing house. As indicated below, Turner College faculty claim just under 150 journal publications over the last 5 years, with 28% of these being published by A-rated academic journals. With another 45 days or so remaining in the evaluation period, 150 is not out of reach.

The long-awaited journal review being conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) has been released and there are a number of news items that relate to faculty in the Turner College. One of these is the ABDC's decision to now include  Compensation and Benefits Review in its journal rankings. This is big news for the Turner College as its editor, Phil Bryant , is a professor of management in the Turner College. The ABDC is proposing that the journal enter its system for the first time as a C-rated journal. New Butler Center Report Identifies Employment Gaps in the Columbus Area

Officials in the Turner College's Butler Center for Research and Economic Development recently put the finishing touches on an extensive report on trends in educational programs and occupations in the Columbus area. The report also includes data on business and technology trends.  According to Fady Mansour , Director of the Butler Center, there are several key takeaways from the report regarding 10 occupational gaps that currently exist in the Columbus area. First,  software development occupation exhibits the biggest labor shortage, with the report adding that the TSYS School has a bachelor's degree program in information technology along with a new AI track for the bachelor's degree in computer science, both of which can qualify students for this occupation.
