The Turner College community was informed this morning that Deborah Kidder's tenure as Dean of the organization is set to end on December 12, 2025. An e-mail communication to Turner College faculty from CSU Provost & Executive Vice President Dustin Anderson states, "I am writing to share that Dr. Deborah Kidder will be stepping down as Dean of the Turner College of Business & Technology, effective December 12, 2025. Under . . . Kidder's guidance, the college achieved a number of milestones, such as maintaining our AACSB accreditation, and the establishment of a Business Transfer Articulation with Columbus Technical College. We appreciate . . . Kidder’s service and contributions to the college during her time as Dean. In the interim, . . . Tesa Leonce-Regalado will be appointed Acting Dean to lead the college while we conduct a national search . . . John Finley has agreed to serve as Acting Associate Dean to support our faculty and students during this time as well. Additional details about the search process will be shared at the start of the Spring term. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition and continued progress toward the college’s academic and operational priorities. Please join me in thanking D[ean] Kidder for her work with the Turner College community and in supporting a seamless leadership transition in the weeks ahead. Thank you for your continued commitment to academic excellence and support of our students!" Kidder joined the Turner College in August of 2021 from the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business, where she served as a professor of management. She had previously served as the Barney School’s Associate Dean for Academic Management from 2018 to 2020, while prior to that (2014-2018) she served as Chair of its Department of Management, Marketing & Entrepreneurship. Kidder succeeded Linda Hadley, who in March 2021 announced her plans to retire as the Turner College’s dean after 30 years on the CSU faculty. Tesa Leonce-Regalado currently serves as Associate Dean of the Turner College, while John Finley is currently the Chair of its Department of Management and Marketing. Although Anderson's communication to Turner College faculty did not address whether an Acting Chair will be named in Finley's place, past practice suggests that he will serve in both roles in the interim. Finley also currently serves as Director of the Turner College's MSOL program, another role he will likely retain.
