Turner College Grad Caryn Hammond Launches New Social Media Product for the Columbus Civic Center

As Event Facilitator for the Columbus Civic
Center and Ice Rink — the largest entertainment venue in this region — Turner College grad Caryn Hammond plays a key role in bringing world-class experiences to the heart of the community. These roles range from coordinating high-profile concerts, sporting events, and family shows to managing logistics for local festivals and ice rink programming. To make these experiences successful, Hammond works closely with promoters, production teams, and local partners. Hammond's latest venture for Columbus Consolidated Government is the launch of the Columbus Civic Center Influencer Ambassadors, which is a group of local social media influencers. "As the curator of this initiative, this vision was created with one goal in mind, which was to bring together a dynamic group of individuals from different backgrounds, perspectives, and platforms to build meaningful partnerships between the Columbus Civic Center and influential content creators throughout our Tri-City area. Our ambassadors will do more than share posts. Through authentic storytelling, they’ll amplify experiences and help shine a spotlight on everything happening at the Civic Center — concerts, sporting events to family entertainment and community initiatives, etc. I’m incredibly proud of this group and excited to watch their creativity continue to grow," Hammond explained.

One of the 20 new Ambassadors is Mandy V, a Columbus-area lifestyle and travel influencer with 11,100 TikTok followers whose posts to that site have garnered 315,700 likes. Another is Destiny Gould, who has about 15,000 followers across both Facebook and Instagram. A third is Matt Powell, a strength coach and registered dietician with about 2,500 Instagram followers. Turner Business congratulates Hammond, who earned a BBA in management from the Turner College in 2024, on this latest project.
