New Headshots Prompt Turner College Grad Andrew Walsh to Reintroduce Himself to the LinkedIn Community

Last week's receipt of new headshots prompted Turner College accounting graduate Andrew Walsh to reintroduce himself to the LinkedIn community. Walsh is a local CPA and CFP who runs Fountain City CPA. In that capacity he helps small business owners and families with tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping, and payroll. The short version of what he does: he helps people keep more of what they earn and feel confident about the financial side of their lives. Turner Business will step aside at this point and let Andrew provide more about himself: "My career has taken me through public accounting and financial planning, and I've carried something useful away from every stop. What I kept coming back to was wanting to put all of it to work closer to home, serving the business owners and families who make this community run. When I'm not working, you'll find me with my wife and our two girls or occasionally sneaking in a round of golf. If we've crossed paths before, a networking event, a referral, an old job, I'd love to reconnect. And if you're wrestling with a tax or business question, reach out. Happy to be a resource, whether or not we ever work together." Lastly, in his recent LinkedIn post Walsh gave a shout-out to CSU grad Noble Tillotson, whose multi-media company produced the headshots for him. Tillotson is the husband of JJ Tillotson (née Bryan), a Turner College marketing grad and the current Marketing Coordinator for the Columbus Convention & Trade Center. ABDC Releases 2025 Journal Review, Now Ranks Journal Edited by Phil Bryant

The long-awaited journal review being conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) has been released and there are a number of news items that relate to faculty in the Turner College. One of these is the ABDC's decision to now include Compensation and Benefits Review in its journal rankings. This is big news for the Turner College as its editor, Phil Bryant , is a professor of management in the Turner College. The ABDC is proposing that the journal enter its system for the first time as a C-rated journal. Acting Turner College Dean Tesa Leonce sits on the journal's editorial board, while Turner College management professor Mark James has guest-edited an issue of the journal. The Turner College community was informed this morning that Deborah Kidder 's tenure as Dean of the organization is set to end on December 12, 2025. The New Financial Times Top 50 Business Journals Just Released

The newest list of Top 50 journals in business has been released by The Financial Times . This list is used by many of the top business schools around the globe to evaluate business faculty. Containing only 50 journals, this list is generally too restrictive to use as an assessment tool at most business schools. The typical business school employs longer lists constructed by the Chartered Association of Business Schools, the Australian Business Deans Council and Scimago. The new FT Top 50 list is provided below.
