Four Turner College Grads Join CSU Alumni Association Board of Directors

The CSU Alumni Association Board of Directors is bringing on board six new members, with four holding credentials from CSU's Turner College. One of these, Arunabha “Arun” Das of Columbus, earned a Master of Business Administration from the Turner College in 2022. Das is currently an Associate Vice President at Deloitte, with more than 18 years of experience. He leads enterprise initiatives focused on artificial intelligence, analytics, cloud modernization and digital transformation.
Joining Das is Kimberley Hatcher of Fortson, Georgia, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Turner College in 2008 and an Educational Leadership Tier I add-on graduate certification from the College of Education & Health Professions in 2020. With nearly two decades of educational and program leadership experience, she currently serves as a director of federal programs and an academic coach. She is also a behavior analyst and founder of Zebra Behavior.
The third new member is Dedra Mitchell of Midland, Georgia, who earned a Master of Business Administration from the Turner College in 2012. As a director at Aflac with 20 years of experience in organizational leadership, communications, and analytics and strategy, Mitchell currently leads persistency and insights work for the company, focused on customer retention, engagement strategy and business performance.
The fourth new Board member with ties to the Turner College is Eboni Thomas ’09, ’24 of Smiths Station, Alabama. Thomas earned a BBA from the Turner College in 2009, and in 2024 she added a Master of Business Administration. As a strategic planning specialist for Columbus Water Works, she leads organizational alignment initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Thomas has been a longtime volunteer of the CSU Black Alumni Council and recently began supporting current students as part of the CSU Mentor Collective.

ABDC Releases 2025 Journal Review, Now Ranks Journal Edited by Phil Bryant

The long-awaited journal review being conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) has been released and there are a number of news items that relate to faculty in the Turner College. One of these is the ABDC's decision to now include  Compensation and Benefits Review in its journal rankings. This is big news for the Turner College as its editor, Phil Bryant , is a professor of management in the Turner College. The ABDC is proposing that the journal enter its system for the first time as a C-rated journal. Acting Turner College Dean Tesa Leonce sits on the journal's editorial board, while Turner College management professor Mark James has guest-edited an issue of the journal. Deborah Kidder's Tenure as Dean of the Turner College Set to End on December 12th

The Turner College community was informed this morning that Deborah Kidder 's tenure as Dean of the organization is set to end on December 12, 2025. An e-mail communication to Turner College faculty from CSU Provost & Executive Vice President Dustin Anderson states, " I am writing to share that Dr. Deborah Kidder will be stepping down as Dean of the Turner College of Business & Technology, effective December 12, 2025. The New Financial Times Top 50 Business Journals Just Released

The newest list of Top 50 journals in business has been released by The Financial Times . This list is used by many of the top business schools around the globe to evaluate business faculty. Containing only 50 journals, this list is generally too restrictive to use as an assessment tool at most business schools. The typical business school employs longer lists constructed by the Chartered Association of Business Schools, the Australian Business Deans Council and Scimago. The new FT Top 50 list is provided below.
