Ferreira, is reaching out to the Turner College community to report that the Butler Center is conducting an urgent survey that is crucial for its ongoing research, and it would greatly appreciate your support in gathering responses. The purpose of the survey is to study population trends in Columbus by asking sophomore, junior, and senior students on their perception on working and living in Columbus. To ensure it gathers sufficient data, the Butler Center is requesting the opportunity to briefly visit Turner College classrooms to administer the survey to students. If you are willing to help, please let the Butler Center know your availability and it will coordinate a convenient time to visit your class. For online classes, a survey link can be distributed to students via e-mail.
Officials in the Turner College's Butler Center for Research and Economic Development recently put the finishing touches on an extensive report on trends in educational programs and occupations in the Columbus area. The report also includes data on business and technology trends. According to Fady Mansour , Director of the Butler Center, there are several key takeaways from the report regarding 10 occupational gaps that currently exist in the Columbus area. First, software development occupation exhibits the biggest labor shortage, with the report adding that the TSYS School has a bachelor's degree program in information technology along with a new AI track for the bachelor's degree in computer science, both of which can qualify students for this occupation.
