Turner College Grads Team to Produce Major Advertising Campaign

An April 2024 post here at Turner Business highlights the mentor-protege relationship at Aflac between Turner College alumni Madison Montgomery and Alex Skiles. That post noted that Madison, an Associate Brand Manager at Aflac, graduated from the Turner College in 2017, earning a BBA in management. During her undergraduate studies in the Turner College, she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Madison followed these educational milestones by earning an MBA from the Turner College in 2019. The post also indicated that Alex earned a BBA in marketing from the Turner College. During her undergraduate studies, she served as Vice President of the CSU chapter of the American Marketing Association. In addition to earning an undergraduate certificate in servant leadership, Alex completed a minor in communications/public relations. The requirements for this particular minor, combined with the marketing course selections she made allowed Alex to also add a social media marketing certificate to her other undergraduate accomplishments. Like Madison, Alex, Senior Brand Manager at Aflac, also earned an MBA from the Turner College in 2019. During this portion of her academic career, she was a member of Sigma Alpha Pi and the CSU Young Alumni Association.
The latest news involving these two Turner College grads pertains to Aflac's newest commercial campaign, which this dynamic duo produced. As in past fall campaigns from Aflac, this latest features Nick Saban, former head football coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide and now a college football analyst with ESPN. "I cried happy tears when I saw the first rough cut from our . . . commercial . . . I’ll never get over the time, teamwork, budgets, reviews and planning that go in to produce one commercial. Seeing work live after a year of planning is incredible. I’m standing in a season that I once begged the Lord for. Scared little undergrad Madison who changed her major would be so proud. Whatever sets your soul on fire- go after it." Madison explained. Her message here should serve as inspiration for current and future Turner College students and graduates. "And special shout out to my bestie (and boss), Alex Skiles. We sat (suffered) together in undergrad, our MBA program, and now we get to lead national advertising as a two-woman team. I wouldn’t be here without her," Madison concluded.
