Turner College Alumni Alex Skiles and Madison Montgomery Developing Strong Mentor-Protege Relationship at Aflac

Turner College alumni Alex Skiles and Madison Montgomery are developing a productive mentor-protege relationship in the professional posts at Alfac. Madison graduated from the Turner College in 2017, earning a BBA in management. During her undergraduate studies in the Turner College, she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Madison followed these educational milestones by earning an MBA from the Turner College in 2019. Upon graduation, she worked for a little more than two years as a senior administrator with First Peoples Bank. Madison departed First Peoples Bank in September of 2021, when she joined Aflac as a brand coordinator. Last month, great news arrived for Madison in the form of a promotion to Associate Brand Manager at Alfac. "If you have talked to me for more than five minutes you know my love for this brand and company is immense," Madison explained. A big thank you to my friend and boss, Alex Skiles. Her support and guidance have truly helped me grow both professionally and personally."
Alex has been with Aflac since June of 2016, shortly after earning a BBA in marketing from the Turner College. During her undergraduate studies, she served as Vice President of the CSU chapter of the American Marketing Association. In addition to earning an undergraduate certificate in servant leadership, Alex completed a minor in communications/public relations. The requirements for this particular minor, combined with the marketing course selections she made allowed Alex to also add a social media marketing certificate to her other undergraduate accomplishments. Like Madison, Alex also earned an MBA from the Turner College in 2019. During this portion of her academic career, she was a member of Sigma Alpha Pi and the CSU Young Alumni Association. Alex onboarded with Aflac as an analyst in the company's marketing division. In May of 2018 she was promoted to Brand and Creative Services Coordinator, and after serving in this position for almost two years she was elevated to Associate Brand Manager, which is the title Madison now holds. In June of 2021, Alex moved into the role of Brand Manager at Aflac, and two years later, in June of 2023, she was promoted to Senior Brand Manager, the position she currently holds. Clearly, the former Turner College classmates have fostered a productive working relationship at Aflac. Turner Business salutes Alex for both her professional accomplishments and the mentorship role she has taken on in promoting Madison's success with the company. We also salute Madison for making the most of her professional opportunities at Aflac, and in the process bringing credit to her Turner College education.
