One goal of small business owners involves selling their business at market value. "We speak to a lot of business owners who don't even know where to start when it comes to valuing their business. The problem with not knowing is that only about 20-30% of businesses successfully sell. You have to plan or you might sell your business for pennies on the dollar or even worse, you won't be able to sell it at all . . . [W]e [at Raymond James] would be more than happy to help [small business owners] with that," Peacock explains.
