Growth in MSOL Program Continues

A November 2023 blog here at Turner Business presented data indicating that the Turner College's master's degree program in organizational leadership is currently experiencing an enormous growth spurt. That blog pointed out that overall course enrollments in the program grew from 226 in Fall 2022 to 321 in Fall 2023, while student credit hours rose from 678 during Fall 2022 to 963 during Fall 2023. Either way, the program experienced a 42% overall growth rate (year-over-year). With that blog in mind, we decided to revisit the Spring enrollment data for an updated year-over-year comparison. The data below provide a picture of the program's growth by comparing Spring 2023 enrollment data to their Spring 2024 counterparts.

As indicated in the table above, 266 students were enrolled in the MSOL program during Spring 2023, generating 798 student credit hours. This spring there are 322 students currently enrolled in the MSOL program, generating 966 student credit hours. Using either metric, the program experienced a 21% overall growth rate between Spring 2023 and Spring 2024 (year-over-year). Now that the program has implemented a 7-week course schedule (beginning Spring 2024), there is still time for students to register for the second batch of 7-week course options, with begin in early March 2024. As they do so, the numbers in the second column above will rise, and the percentage growth will extend upward from 21%. So, look for Turner Business to provide an update to this blog in April.
