The Turner College Research Award was won by Andres Jauregui, associate professor of economics. Jauregui’s recent research has been published in top-shelf journals, such as the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, and the Journal of Regional Science. Rounding out the 2017 faculty awards is the Turner College Service Award, which was won by associate professor of economics, Tesa Leonce. Among the many service activities engaged in by Leonce during 2017, she chaired the Turner College’s Curriculum Committee and represented the college on the CSU Faculty Senate. Lastly, Deidre Tilley, Student Services Specialist in the Turner College, was the recipient of the 2017 Turner College Spirit Award. Tilley is both well-known and well-liked by Turner College students as a result of her tireless efforts advising and mentoring them in their academic endeavors.
A number of
Turner College faculty and staff were recognized by the administrative team at
the 2017 annual retreat. Laurence Marsh, associate professor of
management, received the Turner College Graduate Faculty Award. In recognizing Marsh, Dean Linda Hadley
remarked on his many contributions to the college’s M.S. degree program in
organizational leadership. Marsh teaches
both Negotiations and Strategic Leadership in that curriculum. Associate professor of computer science, Radhouane Chouchane, received the
Turner College Teaching Award. As noted
elsewhere in this issue of Turner
Business, Chouchane was also a finalist for the 2016 CSU Educator of the
