Chelsey Rogers, a senior business administration major in the Turner College, was crowned Miss Columbus State University 2017. In addition to winning the overall crown, Chelsey was the recipient of the Miss Congeniality Award, the Lifestyle and Fitness Award, and the Hayley Henderson Community Service Award, named for Turner College alum Hayley Henderson, Miss CSU 2011.

Miss CSU is an annual scholarship pageant that strives to encourage young women to be active citizens, scholars, and mentors. Titleholders of are encouraged to build and lead community and campus partnerships, and to be a representative of the student body. As Miss CSU, Chelsey will go on to compete for Miss Georgia and represent CSU in many events throughout the campus and community. She will also strive to uphold the mission set by the Miss America Organization. Chelsey’s win continues a line of success by Turner College students, including Miss CSU 2015, Morgan Self. “Being Miss CSU was the experience of a lifetime,” said Self. “From my Miss CSU welcome party to representing this University throughout the Columbus area, to competing in Miss Georgia, it was a year filled with many appearances and service opportunities that I will forever cherish.”
