Undergraduate enrollment in the Turner College stood at 881 students in the Fall of 2024. One year later, now in Fall of 2025, Turner College enrollment stands at 823 students. This drop of 58 students represents a 6.6% decrease in the Turner College's undergraduate enrollment. As the table below also indicates, over this same time period there has been a 10.3% decline in the number of accounting majors, a 5.4% decline in the number of general business majors, an 11.4% decline in the number of MIS majors, a 5.9% decline in the number of management majors, and a 14.5% decline in the number of marketing majors. Along with these declines, there has been a 5.6% increase in the number of finance majors.
Officials in the Turner College's Butler Center for Research and Economic Development recently put the finishing touches on an extensive report on trends in educational programs and occupations in the Columbus area. The report also includes data on business and technology trends. According to Fady Mansour , Director of the Butler Center, there are several key takeaways from the report regarding 10 occupational gaps that currently exist in the Columbus area. First, software development occupation exhibits the biggest labor shortage, with the report adding that the TSYS School has a bachelor's degree program in information technology along with a new AI track for the bachelor's degree in computer science, both of which can qualify students for this occupation.
