Turner College and TSYS School faculty won four of the seven CSU faculty awards at the recent ceremony on CSU's main campus -- an impressive feat. Turner Business took this as an opportunity to look back at this annual ceremony and compare how these organizations did in prior years with how they recently performed. The table below covers the seven awards over the first half of the current decade, with Turner College business faculty winners listed in red and TSYS School computer science faculty listed in blue. As shown there, the Turner College and TSYS School collected two of the seven awards in 2021, 2022 and 2024, and three of the seven awards in 2023. So, the recent performance of winning four of the seven awards stands out.
A few other trends are evident in the information above. First, the Turner College and TSYS School have dominated the Chappell Graduate Teaching Award over the first half of the current decade. Second, the Turner College and TSYS are establishing dominance in the Teaching Innovation Award category. A third feature is that the TSYS School is home to eight of the 13 winners, or 61.5% of all winners, from business and computer science despite being home to only 10 of the 36 faculty, or only 27.8% of all faculty, in business and computer science.
