Since his graduation in 2013, Turner College accounting alum Christopher Harry has forged a career in finance and corporate accounting that includes some of the biggest names in the business world. After completing an accounting internship in January of 2014, Christopher picked up some experience in personal banking in his post at Wells Fargo. From there he accepted a position as a staff accountant with Infor, and later moved into a similar position with Omnimax International. In December of 2017, Christopher became Senior Accountant with Home Depot. He would continue to hold that title when, almost four years later, he moved from Home Depot to Paradies Lagardère. In February of 2022, Christopher assumed his current title as Senior Accountant at WestRock. In that position he works on process improvements and account reconciliation involving commissions, rebates and fixed assets. During his undergraduate days in the Turner College, Christopher was active in Kappa Alpha Psi and the Accounting Club, among others. Turner Business congratulates Christopher on his past accomplishments and wishes him the best of luck going forward.
The long-awaited journal review being conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) has been released and there are a number of news items that relate to faculty in the Turner College. One of these is the ABDC's decision to now include Compensation and Benefits Review in its journal rankings. This is big news for the Turner College as its editor, Phil Bryant , is a professor of management in the Turner College. The ABDC is proposing that the journal enter its system for the first time as a C-rated journal. Acting Turner College Dean Tesa Leonce sits on the journal's editorial board, while Turner College management professor Mark James has guest-edited an issue of the journal.
