Two Cohort 12 students in the cybersecurity Nexus program, Megan DeLaigle and Brandon Hoffa, teamed to advance to the second round of the Southeastern Cyber Cup, which was hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology and Deloitte. According to Patrick Aiken, Director of the TSYS Center for Cybersecurity, "Brandon and Megan are rising stars who started the Nexus program in August and will graduate next July. They're taking advantage of extra opportunities like this to distinguish themselves and to be ready to work by the time they graduate."
The competition, which was put together by Georgia Tech CIO Leo Howell and began with 40 teams, resumes later this week. Megan and Brandon have secured at least an 8th place finish in this year's competition. "A huge thank you to my teammate, professors, and everyone who supported us. This experience has been an incredible opportunity to sharpen my skills and grow in the field of cybersecurity. I am only six weeks into the cybersecurity Nexus program and already learning so much. Looking forward to the next round," Megan stated. Turner Business congratulates Megan and Brandon and wishes them the best of luck throughout the remainder of the Southeastern Cyber Cup.
