Turner Business congratulates Turner College alum Mark Yanoschik, who recently added the Senior Professional Society of Human Resource Management certification to his educational portfolio. Mark, who earned an M.S. degree in organizational leadership from the Turner College in 2017, is currently an HR Employee Relations Specialist at Detroit-based Rocket Companies. In this role, Mark advises senior leaders on team relations issues, conducts internal investigations from initial intake to process completion, and serves on the Core Investigations Team for the entire Rocket Mortgage family of companies, among other duties. Mark previously earned an Employment Law Certificate from Auburn University in 2021 and the traditional SHRM certification in 2020. Prior to earning the MSOL degree in 2017, Mark earned a bachelor's degree in communications through CSU's Honors College. Lastly, before joining Rocket Companies Mark worked in human resources positions with Tanner Health System and Valley Hospitality.
The long-awaited journal review being conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) has been released and there are a number of news items that relate to faculty in the Turner College. One of these is the ABDC's decision to now include Compensation and Benefits Review in its journal rankings. This is big news for the Turner College as its editor, Phil Bryant , is a professor of management in the Turner College. The ABDC is proposing that the journal enter its system for the first time as a C-rated journal. Acting Turner College Dean Tesa Leonce sits on the journal's editorial board, while Turner College management professor Mark James has guest-edited an issue of the journal.
