CSU's Office of Strategic Communications is providing all Turner College faculty, staff and students an opportunity to take or update their professional headshot tomorrow in the Davidson Center from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The photo station, provided by Student Life & Development, is providing access to free, high-quality headshots featuring 20 different backgrounds. The Office of Strategic Communications also informed the Turner College that every faculty and staff member is listed in the university's online employee directory, but not everyone has submitted information for their online profiles. While optional, these profiles are helpful to CSU's news-reporting efforts, media seeking subject-matter experts, and others looking for university-based expertise or knowledge. The CSU Profile Update Form is available under the Forms menu in MyCSU.
Officials in the Turner College's Butler Center for Research and Economic Development recently put the finishing touches on an extensive report on trends in educational programs and occupations in the Columbus area. The report also includes data on business and technology trends. According to Fady Mansour , Director of the Butler Center, there are several key takeaways from the report regarding 10 occupational gaps that currently exist in the Columbus area. First, software development occupation exhibits the biggest labor shortage, with the report adding that the TSYS School has a bachelor's degree program in information technology along with a new AI track for the bachelor's degree in computer science, both of which can qualify students for this occupation.
