Turner College alum Elizabeth Hurst has been promoted to Vice President of Communications at Dairy MAX, a Dallas-based non-profit dairy council representing more than 900 dairy farms across eight states. Elizabeth joined Dairy MAX as Communications Manager in January of 2017 and was elevated almost one year later to Director of Corporate Communications. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2006 and began her professional career as Production Manager with Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence. She advanced with that organization to the role of Account Executive. In December of 2011, Elizabeth took on the role of Vice President of Community Relations and Marketing with Uptown Columbus. She held that post until May of 2015, when she graduated from the Turner College with an MS in organizational leadership. In July of 2015, she became the Main Street Program Coordinator for the City of McKinney (Texas), holding that position for six months before taking on the post of Program Manager for Klyde Warren Park in Dallas. The long-awaited journal review being conducted by the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) has been released and there are a number of news items that relate to faculty in the Turner College. One of these is the ABDC's decision to now include Compensation and Benefits Review in its journal rankings. This is big news for the Turner College as its editor, Phil Bryant , is a professor of management in the Turner College. The ABDC is proposing that the journal enter its system for the first time as a C-rated journal. Acting Turner College Dean Tesa Leonce sits on the journal's editorial board, while Turner College management professor Mark James has guest-edited an issue of the journal.
