Beginning in January of 2024, Michelle Zeller will bring more than 30 years of professional experience with companies like Eastman-Kodak, Char-Broil, Newell-Rubbermaid and others to Turner College classrooms on a full-time basis as the newest member of the organization's marketing faculty. Zeller, who will hold the position of lecturer, serves as an executive advisor to Think Consulting, a national technology and operations advisory practice that provides on-the-ground transformation and consulting, led by executives and adapted for the mid-market. She is also a C-Suite member of Chief, a private network built to drive more women into positions of leadership. In addition to Turner College marketing students, students in sections of the College's Introduction to Business course will also benefit from her educational and professional expertise. It is also possible that Turner College entrepreneurship students will benefit from her instruction. Zeller holds a bachelor's degree from Clarkson University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Officials in the Turner College's Butler Center for Research and Economic Development recently put the finishing touches on an extensive report on trends in educational programs and occupations in the Columbus area. The report also includes data on business and technology trends. According to Fady Mansour , Director of the Butler Center, there are several key takeaways from the report regarding 10 occupational gaps that currently exist in the Columbus area. First, software development occupation exhibits the biggest labor shortage, with the report adding that the TSYS School has a bachelor's degree program in information technology along with a new AI track for the bachelor's degree in computer science, both of which can qualify students for this occupation.
